While I've Been Away
December 17, 2012
You might be wondering to yourself, "Is that Ashlee...standing next to a very large hobbit-footed (quoting my lovely mother here) rendering of herself?" Well, I'm here to answer that question and the answer is "YES." That would be me standing next to a piece I completed as a homework assignment for my figure drawing class, that was later submitted to the University of Arkansas's first Art Walk Open House.
I think I'll skip the petty blog intro where I lament how busy with college I've been and how I've needed a month to soul search (or something equally valid, but pointless) and just jump right back in.
While I've been away, I have been devoting lots of time on the academic front and let me just say, I kicked my final exams like a bad habit. I am done with the first semester of my sophomore year of college and the feeling is surreal. I've been drawing like crazy and am excited to be looking in to internships and ambassador positions in the art field. Also, while I've been away I've been devoting way too many of my hours to Netflix (especially Vampire Diaries and American Horror Story). I've been 'living in the now' and can't be more excited to be home with my family for the break with a full blog schedule ready for posting as we head into a new year.
So, what have you all been up to while I've been away?
