What's On My Ipod: A New Feature;

March 16, 2011

I'm so excited to be starting this new feature! Each Wednesday I'll be posting about five songs that have been on repeat all week (or possibly even longer). This week, here's what has been making my ears happy:

1. Lovesick Teenagers by Bear In Heaven
Bear in Heaven - Lovesick Teenagers by sxeseis
Downloaded this via Urban Outfitter's free LSTN playlists last summer/fall. I liked the name of the song but kept passing it over on iPod due to the odd beginning until recently. I was watching an episode of Skins. It was playing in the background and I heard the phrase 'love sick teenagers will never die.' Sure enough, they were the same song. I will never pass over this lovely song ever again. It's very relaxed and I love it as background noise when I'm writing.

2. Anna Sun by Walk The Moon
Anna Sun by The Kollection
Discovered this song on Nylon's Blog. Nylon is my favorite magazine in the entire world and I've come across some really amazing artists through them. This song is very summery and kinda catchy!

3. Hey by The Pixies
Pixies - Hey by melmtree
I'm a new fan of The Pixies. I found my first song by them when I watched '(500) Days of Summer.' I loved when the main character Tom performed 'Here Comes Your Man' at the Karaoke Bar. I found this particular song when watching 'Zack & Miri Make a Porno.' It was playing in the background and I had to know what it was. I love this song so much.

4. Go Outside by The Cults
Go Outside by user3773855
I found this catchy song when I posted my Bardot Inspiration video post. That was the music video for this wonderful song. It reminds me of driving around and having fun, endless nights with your best friends. It's very light and poppy.

5. Cornerstone by The Artic Monkeys
Cornerstone by Blanke
This song is wonderful. I love the lyrics, especially the part that says, 'I smelled your scent on the seatbelt and kept my shortcuts to myself.' It's been awhile since I listened to the Artic Monkeys and this song, for me, hits the spot.
