The Mascara Diaries;
May 24, 2011Welcome to a new feature I like to call The Mascara Diaries where I'll be reviewing all different types of mascara and hashing out the pros, cons, and details for each one. I used to hate mascara with a passion, but have since grown to love and obsess over finding the perfect one. The only problem? There are so many! Here's where I'll get to try them all, from cheap drugstore brands to the pricer breeds. Without further ado...

The Story: I recieved a mini version of this awesome mascara two Christmas's ago. This mascara was like none I had ever experienced before. The Story: This was the first mascara I ever bought at Sephora. It was summer, my mother was in the hospital having Jack down the road, and I was a 16 year old getting a makeover at Sephora to pass the time. It has also been one of the most unique mascara's I've ever used due to it's revolutionary brush/wand. It gave my mascara-virgin eyelashes a wake-up call as it added dramatic length instantly!
Pros:
- Innovative Brush Allows For Flawless Definition Of Each Lash
- No Clumping
- Long Lasting (still haven't run out of my first tube)
- Comes in Black or Brown
- One My Favorite Lengthening Mascaras
Cons:
- Pricey
- Smudges Very Easily
- Application Can Be Difficult Initially
- Doesn't Curl (as it claims to do)
Cheaper Alternative: L'Oreal Telescopic Explosion Mascara (which can be found at drugstores on the cheap for about $8, but beware of clumping!)

Fun feature. I'd really like to try the Givenchy.
ReplyDeleteYikes! The raccoon effect sounds like it leaves a little something to be desired ;)
