Just some words to live by. While at college I whipped that 4x6 graphic up, probably because I was attempting to write a paper or something, and hung it on my wall. It served as a good reminder when things got tough. It's a great to hear that you are capable every now and again.

Whenever I went off to college, my father said the words that meant more to me than anything else he could have possibly said, "It's going to be hard, but I know that you can do it." Mind you, my father's not very sentimental. He doesn't easily get choked up nor is he very touchy or outwardly affectionate like some fathers (which is okay by me, since I'm sort of similar in my stoicism). Hearing those words from him gave me confirmation. He really believed I was capable of this hard feat and I relished in that moment.

So when things are down and out, I remember to remind myself that I am a capable human being. I am capable enough to get myself on track and to be as successful as I set my mind to be.
