Another one checked off the 40by20 list! Hooray! When I was a little girl my mother frequented the nail salons and I used to be happy to accompany her. Then I realized that I hadn't gotten my nails done since I was a little girl and that just didn't seem appropriate! Through most of Junior High and High School when girls would go get their nails done for dances or prom, I'd never join in. I played softball and we had practice daily. There was no room for nice nails. In fact, I kept them really short.

The habit carried over into college so when I went to go get my manicure my nails were pretty short so I was unable to get anything too crazy. I started out with the basics and treated myself to a frothy/girly pink color. While I was at it I treated myself to a light blue pedicure. 

I'm now totally sold and will make it a habit to go for mani/pedis more often with my sorority sisters in tow!
