Fall Into Summer with Morphe's 35F Palette (Review & Swatches!)
June 23, 2016
First off, I am so excited to bring you this review! It's been one of my goals to bring more beauty/makeup talk to this blog. Makeup is something I find so fun to use and talk about, so hopefully you'll bear with me as I give you the break down of one of my newest eyeshadow palette scores. This palette is the "35F - Fall Into Frost" palette (even though when I ordered it, it was called the "Fall Into Summer" palette) and it has quickly become one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes in rotation.
For example, this palette will run you a cool $22.99 for 35 shadows (ahem...that's less than $1 per shadow!). So, I would certainly consider this palette and most of their other palettes a total steal. You get 28 metallic shadows and 7 matte shadows and a vast array of colors to keep your eyes in business all year around.
These shadows are highly pigmented, extremely blendable, and long-wearing. Plus, the metallic eyeshadows give you that intensely foiled look in one swipe (and without wetting your brush). I would consider this palette more on the warm side, with the right balance of neutrals and wearable pops of color. I find myself super drawn to the glitter bronze shades, sparkling pearls, and glitzy cranberry hues!
Here's an up close and personal look at all the shades. My swatches will be of each row going horizontally across. The first swatch in each row will be the closest swatch to you and the last swatch in each row closest to my wrist. Each swatch is only one pass! This means that I literally dipped my finger in the shadows lightly once and ran it across my wrist so that you can get a feel for how intense the initial pigmentation is. I will note any patchiness or if I went over the swatch more than once.
Row 1 (lightest shade closest to my elbow was swatched 2x)
Row 2 (3rd from my wrist was slightly patchy)
Row 3 (I think this row may be my favorite! Dying over those cranberry-colored shades!)
Row 4 (2nd shade from my wrist was swatched 2x)
Row 5 (all mattes // the lightest shade was swatched 3x and lacked pigmentation compared to the others)
Overall, I think this palette is a total winner! Plus, it' versatility is unmatched which means you get the most bang for your buck. You can create a vast array of looks with this palette - soft, smokey, romantic, everyday, etc! Also, I think this palette is friendly to wear all year long, but especially for the summer and fall months.
If you love shimmery eyeshadows, insane pigmentation, and array of high-quality adaptable shades for an affordable price then you won't be disappointed with this one!
