Summer Goals;

June 13, 2011

  1. Get college affairs in order
  2. Get Fit + Healthy Lifestyle
  3. Get a friggin' snow-cone
  4. See a band play live
  5. Be more free-spirited
I leave for college in the fall and getting all of my collegiate affairs in order is one of the most important goals for this summer. I've been to orientation and gotten my schedule worked out (though it took me calling about five different departments in order to do so), so all that's left is saving up money, picking up dorm things, and acquiring all the things necessary for rush. Unfortunately, that also means continuing to work my boring exciting and really fun desk job and probably picking up more hours.

Next, I really want to get into better shape. I want to be proud of my body and begin to adapt a healthier way of living. This means eating better and squeezing in a bit more gym time this summer so that by the time I step onto that university campus I'll be looking toned and fit. Hopefully, those good habits will also carry over so that I can avoid the freshmen fifteen (or forty)!

My third goal is pretty simple. I've been craving a snow cone ever since we've gotten out for the summer. I've yet to have one. This injustice must be corrected. My fourth goal is also pretty simple. I haven't seen a live show or any bands play here recently. It's been on my to-do for some time now and I think it'd be awesome to challenge myself to see how many live shows I can attend or how many new bands I can discover this summer.

Lastly, I want to live this summer up! I want to spend as many nights and days as I can into being more of a free-spirit. I want to spend my time huddled around a bonfire with my best friends. I want to ride around town where everything is all too familiar before we leave and everything is new. I want to be a little reckless and a lot passionate. I want late summer nights with boys going impossibly too fast down a back road and good music. I want bright bikini clad days filled with laughter and inspiration. I really want to enjoy this time in my life because it's all about to change. Here's to being carefree this summer!
