The Big Reveal (Bedding);

August 06, 2011

So, did you guess correctly?

Last Friday I decided to take the plunge and buy the Laelia Anthropologie bedding I had been lusting for quite some time. My bedding conflict had been consuming a lot of brain space in the past couple weeks. Working with a small dorm room space, the bedding would be the main focal point of the entire room so I felt entitled to be a little picky (especially since I was spending my own money). I want something cozy, happy, whimsical, yet somewhat mature.

Initially, I didn't quite fall in love immediately. Then, after weeks and weeks of consideration I had decided this was definitely the bedding for me. It was a little pricey, but this is my one big college splurge (as I am forgoing buying lots of clothes, shoes, and jeans for college). It wasn't the most expensive bedding I had looked into purchasing and was so happy once I got to get into the actual Anthropologie store (that place is beyond gorgeous) and feel the quality.

An employee laughed at me as I ran up to the bedding rack, snatched up the last twin sized comforter, and hugged it to my chest for a few long moments. I then had to explain that buying this bedding was like a dream come true after weeks of conflicting thoughts, lusting, and longing. Haha!

Pictures simply do not do the Laelia bedding justice. It is so vibrant, soft, and lovely in person! It has just the right mix of everything I was looking for and I want to thank all of you who have helped steer and support me with my bedding decision with kind comments and suggestions over the past few weeks!

    wowowowow! Love the print! I had the same "bedding" debacle for some time. I had always wanted white bedding. But I am such a ditz, I probably wouldn't last a day with it being clean hehehe then I bought it! Isn't it awesome to go to sleep in the bedding you always wanted? [mine's surviving! white and all!]

    lovely blog you have here miss!

  4. Good choice dude! It's BEAUTIFUL. I love quilts. I did the SAME THING when I first went to college, in the end went with a nice quilt from UO that I use to this day. Bedding was my favorite thing to get for college hands down.
