Letters V.3

July 12, 2013

From time to time I write letters to various things/people. Inspired by Abby over at A Geek Tragedy!

Dear Summer, you're the tits and my favorite season. Even though you're hot as can be, it's actually been pretty mild. I love laying out with Jack, days at the pool and I love the fact that my make-up time is basically cut in half. Summer, you've been the excuse to lighten up in more ways than one (for example: my hair). Thanks for allowing me the best down time to get things done at my own pace and for allowing plenty of family/bonding time. You've brought with yourself some interesting developments, but I love you none the less.

Dear Jack, you are turning 4 on Sunday. WHAT THE-?! You were a baby five seconds ago. Now you're so big and so sassy and so full of life. You take pleasures in the simplest things. You have the most stubborn attitude, only trumped by my own. I love spending time with you, taking pictures with you, and watching you grow and learn. You're one of the funniest people I know. How am I going to go back to college without you (especially when you tell me you never want me to leave)? I love you my forever favorite.

Dear Scale, you say I've gained three pounds - but I beg to differ. I have been eating way better now than during the school year and working out twice as much. That weight better be new bad ass muscle forming. Just saying.

Dear Farmer's Market, I swear I'm coming for you before the summer ends. Don't give up  on me just yet.

Dear Lilly Planner, I've been using you more now than during the school year. Hopefully this habit will continue. You've been keeping me on track with blogging and working out and random appointments. Also, your margins are the perfect place to jot down random things like books I want to read, quotes I like, and do small calculations. Thanks.

Dear Friends/Sorority Sisters, I hate being away from you guys. Y'all are always there to help or to listen to me. You're always so supportive. I'm happy to have you in my life, especially when so many others have left. I'm so excited to go back to college and start new sections of the same chapter of this life. Here's to growth, new adventures, sushi dates and ever strengthening bonds

Dear Sorority Pin, I'm an idiot for losing you. Replacing you is going to cost $160. I suck.

Oh, I need to get to the farmer's market too! We've got an awesome one downtown on the weekends in Birmingham and I've been meaning to go for years. Maybe this is the year. But is this the weekend?! Oh, and yes yes yes to the mild summer (so far!).
