Tag, You're It! Beauty Scenarios!
April 18, 2014
I was tagged by Taylor to participate in this really fun tag regarding all things beauty! Thanks Taylor for giving me something to take my mind off of school work. I blog occasionally about beauty (since I'm a product hoarder mainly, haha), so I thought it might be really fun to participate! On to the questions:
1. You have to get rid of all your foundations and you can only keep one high-end and one drugstore, which do you keep?
High End - Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation (the powder or the liquid, I love them both!)Drug Store - Fit Me Powder Foundation
2. You go for an interview and the lady interviewing you has lipstick on her teeth. Do you approach the subject or ignore it completely?
This is a hard one! If I noticed right off the bat upon walking in and shaking hands, I'd probably try to subtly tell her before the interview got going just to save embarrassment on her end and distraction on mine. If I didn't notice until midway through, I'd probably just let it go and let the interview happen naturally.
3. You’re not feeling yourself and need a pick me up. Which lipstick do you put on to make yourself feel beautiful?
My go-to red lipstick is Maybelline's "Are You Red-dy." I always seem to feel a bit more put together after putting it on! However this spring, I've been going for a fun pinkish color entitled "Raspberry Rush" by L'oreal! I've been on the hunt for a good orange lip color this spring, any suggestion?
4. You go back in time for a day to your teenage years, how would you do your hair and makeup differently?
Oh goodness, I'd change so many things! Hair-wise, I'd tell myself to actually do more than just brush it. Take a straightener to it more than every now and again and experiment with curling my hair (which I didn't mast until sophomore year of college). Make-up wise, I'd tell myself to learn how to apply mascara before junior year of high school and then afterward I would suggest learning how to properly use an eye lash curler before freshman year of college. Also, I'd tell myself to quit caking on the Bare Minerals foundation and tell myself to invest in a good primer and to learn how to use concealer properly. You live and you learn!
5. You ask your hairdresser for a shoulder length Pixie Lott hair cut, but they hear wrong and give you a pixi cut. Do you a) Smile, say thank you, leave and call your mom hysterical b) Cry in the chair and things get awkward or c) Complain to the manager and demand a refund.
Definitely, "A." I'm one of those people who are probably too polite for their own good in situations like that. Inside, I'd be furious and probably end up calling my father hysterical. However, I figure once the hair is cut off, there's no use in crying and demanding a refund because there's very little that can be done at that point. I'd try to rock the pixie and maybe make an appointment at a different place to see if extensions could work if I really hated it that much.
6. Your friend surprises you with a 4-day city break and you have 1 hour to pack. Which ‘do it all’ palette do you pack in your makeup bag?
Benefit's "How to Look the Best at Everything" palette (in medium), plus my Naked 2 palette, and one tube of mascara and I'm set! I can do anything with that combo!
7. Your house has been robbed, don’t worry everyone is safe, but your beauty stash has been raided. What’s the product you really hope is safe?
There are several things I'd want to be safe, but if I had to just pick one, I really hope my Tarte Creaseless Concealer (in medium) is safe. That is my go-to product for my face because of it's versatility and awesome coverage!
8. Your friend borrows your makeup and returns it in awful condition. Do you a) Just pretend you haven’t noticed b) Ask them to repurchase it or c) Secretly do the same to something of theirs?
I'd most likely confront them about it. I wouldn't do it in an aggressive way, but I'd definitely ask for an explanation because most likely it was an accident and we've all been there! I think my friends would definitely offer to repurchase though if something did occur!

I really want to try the Hello Flawless foundation!
ReplyDeleteGreat post! Both of those red lip colors look amazing... I'm caught up on MAC's Ruby Woo, but sometimes I'm not in the mood for a matte finish. Definitely giving these a try! Oh, and Happy Easter!
