Photo an Hour;

August 02, 2011

I've been wanting to do a 'Photo an Hour' post for quite some time now! I've seen Kyla Roma, Miss James, and several others around the blogoverse do it! I was really inspired when Abby accomplished her own photo and hour post! I think it's so fun to get to see blogger's personal lives in a whole new light. My days aren't usually this busy (in fact, if I would've done this on a week day it would've been eight hours of me at a desk, one of me eating, and then one of my passing out in my bed), but you caught me on fairly busy day. Here is Sunday, July 31st, 2011 in pictures:

6:00-7:00 am : I woke up and started getting ready for the day and to go to church. That's my pretty new Tarte case and make-up I ordered a few weeks ago. I'm in love. Fun Facts: I get ready on the floor in front of a full length mirror, I like to listen to Pandora as I primp, and I have way too much mascara and foundation pictured above (promise I don't use that much)!

8:00-9:00 am : Jenny picks me up so that we can go to church. Sunday school is the first thing on the agenda. We just moved up to the college class in Sunday school and I'm really loving the new environment. Fun Fact: This was a totally candid shot (so, yes, she always looks this happy and pretty even while buckling her seat belt...safety is sexy Jen!) and Jenny is one of my future roommates for college!

9:00-10:00 am : I come home from church. The rest of the family is working to make themselves look presentable so that we can get going. Mom is packing Jack's bag, Dad is somewhere behind me, and Jack is being a stud with his two different colored Crocs on the wrong feet. Fun fact: Jack is so picky about what he wears! He is a very active participant in getting dressed, from his shorts to his shoes!

10:00-11:00 am : After we hit the road, we decide it's best to stop and get something to snack on before we really get down to business. I get a cherry limeade, Mom gets ice-cream, Dad gets a diet coke, and Jack munches on Sonic's new sweet potato tots! After a while he steals my cherry limeade. Fun Fact: Jack loves Mickey Mouse and pillows. Notice his coveted Mickey Mouse pillow? I swear, he doesn't leave the house without that thing!

11:00-12:00 am/pm : We're off to Target to buy the futon for my dorm room! This is one of the biggest purchases I've made with my own money! Thank goodness for the sales paper! Five dollars off? Heck yes! Fun Fact: This was my second time to Target to buy the futon. The first time I went with Paige to buy it and it ended up not fitting in her car. They made us return it, so here I am going for round two.

12:00-1:00 pm : The futon ends up being on sale and I save about forty dollars! I guess there are some blessings in disguise out there! Now we can use what we save on something else that's totally rad. Antrhopologie room accents maybe?

1:00-2:00 pm : We go to St. Vincent's because our close family friend's grandfather is undergoing surgery. We're there for moral support. We sit around, chat, read magazines, and then grab some grub from the cafeteria. Jack has chicken strips and I have a grilled chicken sandwich. It's pretty relaxed and we all hope for the best! Also, I get endless questions about college directed at me.

2:00-3:00 pm : We leave St. Vincent's. Jack is running out of the Surgery Waiting Room in this first picture. He's really exciting to be getting out of there. However, he's super sad when Daddy leaves to go get the car from the parking deck. Fun Fact: It was raining and Daddy was picking us up from the front entrance. Poor Jack!

4:00-5:00 pm : Dad and Jack go home because they're tired. Mom and I go to Conway Regional Hospital to visit my Nana in the ICU. She was taken there Saturday night due to her ammonia levels being through the roof. She has a bad liver and must take a strict regimen of medicine to keep her toxin levels low. She had gotten her medicine off track, her ammonia and toxins were too high, and she's in a coma like state until they come down. My Nana has been through a lot (breast cancer, brain aneurysm, stroke, hepatitis, and a failing liver), but we know she's a survivor. She's doing a little better today.

5:00-6:00 pm : We leave the second hospital of the day after seeing Nana. I spot this really cool jeep parked next to us. I didn't know anything except mail trucks could deliver mail. Cool stuff! We start our trek back home after what feels like a long and exhausting day.

6:00-7:00 pm : As Mom and I are on our way home my best friend Callie texts me. She asks me over to her house so that we can have a True Blood watch party. We usually live text, but there's no way I can during down spending time with my bestie when college is less than two weeks away! I arrive at her humble home and we snack on her Mom's infamous lemon cookies! Fun Fact: The last time those cookies were made, Callie and I devoured the tin one sitting! Those are my personal favorites!

8:00-9:00 pm : We're basically glued to TV for the full hour. True Blood is our favorite show and definitely one of the best parts about Sunday nights! This episode makes me so unbelievably happy considering I'm an Eric fan! Callie, however, is a Bill fan. Fun Fact: In each other's phones we're listed as True Blood characters. I'm Bill Compton and she's Eric Northman!

9:00-10:00 pm : We discuss the episode, college, future roommates and the future in general as we help Callie's mother make fresh monkey bread. We share lots of laughs and I know how much I'm going to miss this when we're five hours apart. After we devour half of the warm monkey bread (and I get the recipe), Callie takes me home, and I go to bed.
