Brother + Sister Style Week 11

July 31, 2012

This is the last and final week of Brother + Sister Style. 11 whole weeks of picture taking and sibling bonding and not once did I ever tire of this project! At times it was a challenge and sometimes I had NO idea what we were going to wear up until fifteen minutes before we walked ourselves out to our favorite fence to shoot, but these minor details never took away from the fun we had. Our theme this week, because I'm heading back off to college in a few days and we're football crazed in our household, was 'Game Day Attire.' Hope you enjoy our final week as much as we did!

In the South football is a BIG DEAL. I say that with not nearly enough emphasis as if I was telling you this face-to-face. It's a HUGE deal even. Friday night high school football and Saturday college football are staples to any southerner's life in the fall. Being a college sorority girl, there's extra emphasis on the whole ritual that is game day. In the SEC, on game days, you're expected to dress up. Everyone tailgates, pre-games, and looks good while doing so. It's tradition.

Jack's been quite the little hug-giver lately! I don't mind! I'll gladly snatch up all the hugs he'll give me before I leave in just five short days! I will miss him so so so much.

September 1st is the first football game of the season! It's just a month away really and I am pumped up. The fall is really one of the most electric and magical times to call an SEC college town home!

Jack wanted to throw up his hands and cheer as if we were at a football game. Initially, we attempted to call the hogs on camera but that looks so much more awkward! Haha. If you've never been to an Arkansas football game, having a whole stadium call the hogs is basically chill inducing. You can hear the call for miles around the campus!

This week Jack is wearing his favorite Arkansas Razorbacks jersey (I swear he'd never take it off if he could). He's also sporting khakis and is sticking his tongue out. What a trouble maker!

This week I'm wearing a black bow headband from Rue21, a black Old Navy cardigan, and a custom game day dress from a local boutique called Bimini Butterfly. I'm also sporting the wedges I wore last week! I'm pretty sure this exact look will be my first game attire!
