Happy Monday! Today we're chatting about my most wanted wardrobe pieces from around the web lately.

Since I entered the working world I've learned a lot about my personal style. Now that I'm not privy to the ultra-comfortable style staples (aka oversized t-shirts, athletic shorts, and leggings) known to me in my former college life, it's been time to reevaluate what I really want in my closet. I've always been pretty traditional in my style choices, favoring classic pieces over trendy ones. Though I can't say I've never bought into a fashion fad (denim mini skirts, sequin purses, chokers, flare jeans, and gaucho pants all via the early 2000s are coming to mind), I can say that on the whole I'm generally not too ashamed of any wardrobe decisions I made in the past.

Ever since I've started working in "the real world" I find myself gravitating back to basics more and more. I find myself wearing a lot simple shapes and wearing black, white, and/or denim on more days than not. This back to basics mentally is definitely being reflected in my recent wants!

J.Crew Striped Top
My go-to stripped tee has gotten a lot of love over the past two years and it's time for an upgrade. I feel like this J.Crew top is flattering, high-quality, and in a great price range. There's just something so inherently classic about a striped tee. It's flattering for all shapes and sizes. It can be dressed up or down and just goes with so much.

H&M Black Skinny Jeans
I've been in need of a good pair of black skinny jeans for awhile. I feel like black jeans can be so flattering and worn with success any time throughout the year when styled correctly. Black jeans are slimming among other things and just like the striped top pair with so much. At $9 these are a wishlist item that I can make a total reality.

Matisse Orin Sandal 
I've been crushing on low strappy heels since Spring 2014 and I've yet to purchase a pair. I saw these recently in a local boutique and fell completely in love all over again. The heel is low which is perfect for both work and play. I actually feel like I could be stylish and comfortable in these. The double straps add interest and the patterned back portion provides pop. This is definitely a staple with a twist.

Upon graduating college I suddenly confronted the whole "what do I do with my backpack now?" question. While carrying a purse seemed like the obvious option, I just found that my purse wasn't really equipped to handle all the stuff I tote to work on a daily basis. I then began searching for a new backpack (since my college one was riddled with rips and wear), but every sturdy one I found felt like it was way out of my price range. Enter the Fjallraven Kanken Mini Bag! It has two top handles, adjustable straps, pockets, and a zip. It looks perfectly sturdy and like it'd have more than enough space for all of my stuff. They carry lots of fun colors and sizes, but this black mini totally has my heart. I think it's a timeless style that I could use for years to come!

Maybe floppy hats are so last year...but I still think there's something to be said about a great hat for summer. This hat quickly covers a bad hair day while looking chic and adding that extra something to perfectly accessorize any outfit in need. Best thing of all? This hat can transcend seasons, easily slipping from summer to fall.

Topshop Lipstick in RioRio
Zoella recently mentioned this lipstick in her June Favorites video as being a perfect dupe for Kendall Jenner's Estee Lauder Lipstick in Restless. I think the color is absolutely gorgeous. I think it perfectly pops for summer and is the perfect orangey red. Definitely dying to try this one out. You can't go wrong with red lips paired with a black ensemble after all.

Oh my goodness guys, why didn't anyone tell me about coconut oil sooner? Okay, so maybe a few people did and all of the blogosphere did. Hmmm, whoops. Specifically, I apologize to my former roommate and friend Caitlin for singing it's praises like eight million times in the past year and a half, and me ignoring it.

For whatever reason, I kind of just ignored the coconut oil trend. I thought it was wildly over-hyped, semi-expensive (but maybe that's just the frugal gal in me that couldn't justify buying a whole jar of oil for $8-$12) and people acted like it could work for almost anything and everything. I was skeptical and slightly irked by the fact that you could cook with it and the use it to moisturize your skin. Surely, it couldn't be all that. Right?

Well, I was wrong. Usually, I'm pretty dead on in my belief of trends. There are some I love and am willing to try and others I find cheesy and fad-like (fishnet/sequin purses, wearing feather extensions in your hair, and gaucho pants in Jr. High/High School for example). I thought the crazed coconut oil trend would pass, but no such luck. It wasn't until I came across this blog post about oil pulling that I really heavily thought about giving coconut oil a try. It sounded magical and I guess I just got the point where I had to know if it really was everything everyone claimed it to be.

So, a few weeks ago, I swallowed my pride and the cash register at Ozark Natural Foods swallowed my $10. Then, suddenly I owned a jar of coconut oil. Cool?

Over the past few weeks I've been experimenting with coconut oil in new ways, testing it out all the crazy ways people have advised using it. My first stop on the coconut oil train, was to try oil pulling. I've done it a few times a week since buying my coconut oil and have to say that I'm seeing results. My teeth are slightly whiter and I feel like the overall health of my mouth is improved with the addition of oil pulling to my normal routine. I'm curious to see if the results will be more dramatic with time.

The next way I used coconut oil is as a lip balm. I slather it on my lips much like I would Carmex and head out the door. If you're a gal who just needs something on your lips, I'd highly recommend coconut oil. The smell is nice enough and my lips feel soft and smooth after applying. It's not as long lasting as I'd hoped, but it's great for everyday wear when I'm not in the mood for sticky lip glosses or a lot color. I'm sure some genius out there has perfected making coconut oil lip balm (which I will now have to Google).

My formal was Saturday and, naturally, I wanted super smooth legs. I saw this article and saw that you could use coconut oil as shave cream. The skepticism returned, but I gave it a go anyways. Holy h-double-hockey-sticks guys! It works. My legs were SO smooth for formal. The warm water softened the oil and made it easier to slather onto my legs. My legs felt so smooth during the shave and after. It built a semi-waxy coat on my legs, but a quick rinse and some soap set them straight. I was basically amazed.

Lastly, yesterday in the shower, I noticed that I had run out of deep-conditioner and I gave coconut oil a try in replacing my deep conditioner. The shower softened the oil, but I also let it sit in my palm until it was totally liquid, and then applied it to my hair. I let it sit for a few minutes and then washed it out as I would a normal conditioner. I followed up with a natural sulfate free shampoo, and noticed that my hair was not only softer, but much less tangled! I love the fact that coconut oil can replace a lot of my go-to shower products. This fact alone makes the $10 I spent totally worth it.

Here are some other ways (and I'm sure there is 1000 more) you can use coconut oil:

• eye make-up remover (I'm interested in giving this way a go next)
• body moisturizer (my friend Caitlin used her coconut oil this way and loved it)
• can cook with it
• preventing frizz and fly-aways
• protecting hair from chlorine (perfect for summer!)

So, if you're in search for something new to add to your beauty regime or just late to the party like me, I highly recommend you pick up a jar of coconut oil next time you're at the grocery store! So, far I've only tried this brand, but am eager to try others.

I've been following Moorea and her endeavors for a long time now (probably 2-3 years). She's a pretty inspiring type of lady. She comes from a collegiate background rich with graphic design and illustration, but when I discovered her she was taking over the world one piece of awesome jewelry at a time.

When she announced that she was working on a secret project a few months ago and I was seriously excited because I knew anything that she came up with was going to be awesome. When she announced that it was going to be a curated retail site with a cause, I was over the moon with excitement and anticipation.

I stayed up for the launch last night and am here to tell you that all the waiting was not done in vain! The site is lovely, the branding and imagery is spot on, the motivation is kind-hearted, the hard work is evidenced, and the content, above all, is awesome. Maybe it just appeals to my certain brand of style - but I love so many different pieces they have to offer! Also, another great thing is that there are a wide variety of price ranges. There are items under the ten dollar mark and items over the one hundred dollar mark and everything in between. There is literally something with great quality and lovely aesthetic for everyone and every budget! Total win.

I ordered one piece in the above collage and am so excited to get it.

However, my one gripe - is the shipping costs. I totally understand shipping is a necessary evil and that they're trying to work on a system that suits their business and efficiency best. I mean, I get it. However, there's just something a little unsatisfying about paying more for shipping than the actual item. Am I right? So yeah, there's that - but, I'd say it's well worth it.

You may be wondering, is this girl like 8 years old? But, no, I'm 20 and happen to think fake tattoos were and continue to be the coolest. I'm one of those people who constantly need change. Couple that with a habit of being indecisive and you'll understand why I haven't committed to a real tattoo. I've never really grown aspiring to have one, but that more I grow and change, the more I see the possibility and the beauty there.

I have such an appreciation for well done tattoos - small ones, meaningful ones, big ones, intricate ones, simple ones. You name it. So, for the past few months I've been thinking about what I would get if I ever decided to get a tattoo. I've been thinking about getting a triangle, which is so exceptionally representative of multiple facets of my life and in addition, will satiate my love of simplicity, geometry, and design.

But before I go running off to get inked up, I thought I might like to see what having a triangle tattoo on my body felt like. Also, experimenting with placement could never hurt a gal like me. Enter the totally rad solution of temporary tattoos. I'm loving this set in particular.
