• If you have the time and the enthusiasm to watch entire seasons of shows with me...and then talk about them as if they're really happening. (Ex: How did Elena even get into college anyways, it's not like any of those people on Vampire Diaries actually went to high school...ever. They were too busy off fighting Silas on remote islands and shit. Their high school must have a ridiculously slack attendance policy).
• If you're okay with re-watching the first 2 seasons of Gossip Girl at least once a year
• If you have mad love for all things literary and could tolerate my endless love for Sylvia Plath
• If you believe in the motto that "any time is a good time for a cupcake."
• If you want to explore fun, new places constantly (these places often involve, clothing, coffee, or crepes)
• If you are up for 2AM waffle runs at a moment's notice
• If you accept the fact that I'm basically just an average texter and would probably rather just call you
• If you're not annoyed that right before we walk out the door to go basically anywhere I will have to search for my phone for approximately 30 seconds to a minute
• If you can handle being out in public with me snapping pictures and saying "for the blog" as a response as to what am I doing and why
• If you know that when I say I'm about to "take a nap," that I mean I will be going to sleep for at least 3 hours most likely
• If you can handle being asked to model, give input, or help out on the creative project I'm working on at any given time
• If you can deal with the fact that I'm not the best driver and will probably jump a curb each and every time we're in the car and I'm driving (I never do when I'm alone - go figure)
• If you don't mind casual cursing and a few f-bombs from time to time
• If you can handle the fact that we may go shopping all day and I might only buy one things, or nothing at all. I'm a total browser.
• If you're down to investigate trendy things like juice cleanses, ombre hair, and printed leggings, just for fun.

Seriously guys, the 4th of July was magical. It was such a good day and there so much to celebrate. First off, as I mentioned before, it was my father's birthday. Secondly, I got to be reunited with one of my closest and longest friends, Jennifer (who makes a cameo in this post from 2 years ago). She stayed in Fayetteville (our college town) for summer classes and her new job. It's been a really long month and a half without her. Thankfully, she's back for the foreseeable future, until we both go back to Fayetteville for college in the fall. I look forward to so many adventures with her.

After we shopped no less than three malls and had lunch, I returned back home just in time for fireworks. This is Jack's first time really experiencing the fireworks. He was exceptionally cautious and wary about them. Anything that's too loud or too bright or too different, is scary  to him in this very aware stage of being. However, he quickly realized they were fun! He wanted to do all of the sparklers and was in awe over the local big fireworks show we attended. He was all claps, smiles, and funny commentary. A 3 year old's firework commentary is pretty great. Haha! Everything was "sooo shiny, sparkly, and pretty!"

Also, as you can see I decided to get a little festive for the day. I wore my D.I.Y USA Shorts, which I got no less than ten compliments on from my 9 year old cousin to nearly every cashier at the mall. And my mother said I looked ridiculous. Haha! If you ask me, that is the best $5 I've ever spent making those shorts. I wore a t-shirt I've had since I was young, which I used to wear at night. It's a t-shirt from my Dad's proverbial hometown Pleasent Hill, Illinois (where much of our family still lives) celebrating the Fourth of July. It's nice and worn in. Also, red lips made an appearance with the help of Maybelline's #625 "Are You Red-dy."

The 4th was wonderful in so many ways.

How was your 4th of July? What did you? I'd love to know!

I know Sunday is usually for sharing what's gone on during the week, but I took so many pictures of my very full Saturday that I couldn't help but share.

Yesterday started out bright and early. Working on two hours of sleep, Jenny picked me up around 7am and we headed to breakfast and then to the Farmer's Market (read about my first adventure out to the Farmer's Market here). One of Jenny and I's good friends Taylor Barnhill (or just 'Barnhill' to me because his girlfriend's name is also Taylor) works the Farmer's Market every Saturday along with his family members. His family owns an orchard/farm on the outskirts of town and they sell all of their many spoils in different locations around the vicinity. We like to go and bother him mostly. Haha. Jenny swears up and down he has the best watermelons she's ever had and I swear up and down they have the best peaches.

At the Farmer's Market I picked up some veggies and at a stall two down from Barnhill's a man with the most awesomely enthusiastic British accent asked me to "go ahead and sample my honey-butter!" (please tell me you just read that in a British accent!) I did try his honey-butter...and then I died. So, there was no question that I had to buy a jar of his cinnamon honey-butter. Dang those free samples. It's now my newest obsession.

After the Farmer's Market, Jenny and I decided to shop for several hours. I picked up a pair of heels, red jeans, a new sweater, a tank-top, canvases, and paint. After a long three or four hours of shopping bliss, we decided to soak up some sun. So for two hours we retreated to the water, a much needed escape.

At 7, we met Barnhill and his girlfriend Taylor in Little Rock to take in a Traveler's baseball game. It wasn't too hot out and it was nice to spend time with friends. Baseball is one of my favorite sports. We had one of the best views of the city. After the game, we went for a late dinner which was unquestionably delicious and then headed back to Barnhill's house to meet a slew of other friends. We hung out with all of them and allowed the shennanigans to continue until about two in the morning. I was exhausted, but full...full of life and energy and freedom. I was full of happiness.

Have you been on any adventures recently?
♥

So sorry for the lack of posting. I've had seemingly a million things going on including last night's (this morning's?) midnight premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two. Sorry this image isn't the best quality in the absolute world, but we had an absolute blast! I couldn't have asked for a better end to one of the biggest parts of my childhood. I'm probably going to see it again very soon! Haha! Thanks for bearing with me, Cubicle Fancy post very soon!

So have you seen the new HP?
♥

My fourth of July was as relaxed as could be. It was just Callie and I sharing two Black and Milds, shooting some bottle rockets (& swearing violently when they'd shoot off in the wrong direction or stick in the ground), making sonic runs for watermelon peach slushes (yum), playing with sparklers, chatting up the gas station clerk, and not taking near enough pictures of the good stuff. I wish I had taken more pictures of myself and the bigger firework shows going on around us. The quality of the pictures aren't the best, but I kinda like how rough they are. It really captures the carefree spirit of the night. All in all, I had a lovely adventure. Hope your 4th was just as happy!

Roaming around, awesome sunglasses, getting snow cones, almost getting run over by some stupid guy in a crappy car after getting a snow cone, then realizing it's one of your best guy friends in his crappy car whose party you're going to later, talking in the parking lot, hours spent in Wal-Mart, even longer hours spent getting ready, driving around because we're too early and too eager, abandoned houses, police cars out of nowhere, seeing attractive hitch hikers, and missing the turn to go to the party.

Wishing for new people and not the same old crowd, actually getting new people and missing the old crowd so much it hurts, so much change because everyone is working now, feeling left out and angry because she's there and she took him from you, being bronze, Baby Blue, the epic quest for a lighter, bonfires while there's a burn ban, lots of firework antics, pocket knives and flash lights, sitting on the tailgate because there's nine people to a car, feeling the rush of adventure, starry skies, dusty drives, back roads, driving out to 'The Hole,' stopping for a watermelon, telling the driver to 'floor it' because there's three of us on the tailgate and there is a car gaining on us and if they see us they'll surely call the cops.

Living off of lemonade and sun-chips because that's all we have, joking about alcohol but secretly wanting some and knowing we could get it, humid nights, chilling in the freezer, being fed watermelon by boys, wrapping up in blankets, deciding to take the car out, tag runs all over town, passing the car-markers around,   all of us singing so badly to old country music, being out past curfew, 'traspassing' instead of 'trespassing,' talking about what happened the night before because it's such a good/scary/crazy story, stopping at a gas station at 2AM for energy drinks, candy bars, and ice-cream.

Getting caught by parents, speeding everywhere, spending two hours in the kitchen drowsily playing 'never have I ever' until one boy is in his boxers, one is pants-less, one is shirt less, and the rest of us are all stripping down too. Dinosaur hugs goodbye, leaving so sleepy and so accomplished, crawling into bed at 5 AM (and drifting off faster than you can realize, the heaviness of sleep weighing you down so you're sure that you'll never come out of the deep sleep you're about to enter) even though there's church in the morning, and an unexpectedly awesome night.

Ah, I love Saturdays.

Here's a brief snapshot of what my friends and I have been up to this week. One of my summer goals is to take more pictures of our outings, bonfires, parties, and events. The Luau Party was in honor of mine & Jen's really good friend (and future college roommate) Paige. We threw on some colorful lei's, put on our floral dresses, ate barbecue, rocked out to some Jimmy Buffet, enjoyed the twinkle lights, lit tiki torches, got eaten up by like mosquitos, made smores, sweated in the ninety degree heat, wacked a tiki pinata like little kids, limbo-ed, enjoyed a homemade flip-flop cake, and time with one another. After that, we headed out to the local pond to meet up with some good friends & get into some mischief (which I didn't get pictures of) to finish off the night. ♥
